Four people, including three of a family were killed and two others injured when a bus collided head-on with a private car in Tamta area on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway under Daudkandi upazila of the district early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Dr Fazlul Bari Mithu, 40, a psychiatrist of Dhaka Syamoli Mental Hospital, his wife Asmaul Hosna Moni, 34, daughter Fahmida, 11, and their domestic help Sima 21. All of them hailed from Naruli village of Bogra Sadar upazila.
Police sources said the accident occurred at around 2 am when the Dhaka-bound car from Comilla collided head-on with the Chittagong-bound bus and plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving four passengers dead on the spot and two others injured.

Sahajalal Arial Kari, 2, -- were admitted to Gouripur upazila health complex.
A case was filed in this connection.
