Three members of a family were killed in a road accident in the city's Khilkhet area this afternoon.
"A passenger-bound bus coming from Mymensingh hit a private car near Khilkhet police station on the Dhaka-Airport Road and a city bus hit the passenger-bound bus. Three passengers of the private car died on the spot," Sub-Inspector of Khilkhet police station Shahidur Rahman told BSS.
One of the deceased was identified as Md Delwar Hossain, 64, but name of two others couldn't be known immediately.
Police sent the bodies to Dhaka Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
Police seized the vehicles but its driver managed to flee.
