Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury on Friday assured, Bangladesh achieved self-reliance in food.
'Thanks to the science, Bangladesh has gained the self-sufficiency in food,' she echoed.
The Agriculture Minister came up with the comments while addressing a programme at Jahangirnagar University on the day.
'We should practice science for the wellbeing of the human being,' she also urged in the programme.
Professor Dr Farzana Islam, the vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, was also present among others, in the programme.
