A total of 48,448 students have cleared the written tests for 11,049 seats in public and private medical and dental colleges for the 2015-16 academic session, sources of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The DGHS published the results on Sunday morning three days after the tests were held on Friday, amid the growing allegation of question paper leakages that sparks wide-scale demand for medical admission test cancellation from the examinees.
The results are available on the website of the DGHS (http://goo.gl/aIF6RX).
Earlier in the morning, Supreme Court lawyer Yunus Ali Akand filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking a directive to revoke the medical and dental admission tests on grounds of question leak.
Several thousand students staged demonstration at deferent parts of the country on Saturday, demanding to retake the test after the pictures of leaked question papers had begun circulating on social networking website Facebook since the night before the tests were held.
This year, a total of 82,964 students sat for the combined MBBS and BDS admission tests against 3,162 seats in 30 public medical colleges, 532 seats in 8 public dental colleges, 6,000 seats in 65 private medical, and 1,355 seats in 24 private dental colleges.
