Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations for March 8 and 10, which were suspended due to the ongoing nationwide general strikes, will be held on March 27 and 28 respectively.
Hafizur Rahman, assistant director of secondary and higher secondary education board, Dhaka, endorsed the information on Saturday afternoon.
He said: “The SSC and equivalent exams for March 8 and 10 will be held on March 27 and 28. Besides, Dakhil exam for March 11 will be announced later.”
The government rescheduled the examinations because of the ongoing nationwide general strikes called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
The BNP-led alliance has been observing the strike since February 1, protesting the “killings, mass arrests, and torture” of party activists, and the “restoration of democracy.”
This year, around 1.5 million students are taking part in the SSC and equivalent exams.
