Four Bangladeshi teenagers have returned home after serving one year in Indian jail for illegal stay in that country.
They were handed over to Benapole immigration police on Monday night.
The returnees are Lovely Akter,15; Subarna Khatun,16; Amena Khatun,17; and Maria Khatun,16.
Aktaruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Benapole immigration police, said human traffickers had sent them to India one year ago, promising lucrative jobs there.
Indian police arrested them from Shialdah Rail Station area in Kolkata. Later an Indian court had sent them to a jail on charge of illegal entry into the country.
