It is widely acknowledge in this eon of progress and rationality that the advancement of the entire set of human civilizations depends upon the rising of the women in each and every sphere of national and international spheres. Feminism is a hot topic nowadays having few stupid expressions as by product of enormous possibilities and rational expressions, like democracy. Well, I guess, Feminism is not understood most the people whoever even talk about them here and there. Hence, the rising of the women with well-comprehend realization of Feminism is a demand of our age.
Feminism and democracy— none are sweet. They have few stupid expressions as by product. But these few embarrassing aspects are not adequate to diminish their copious aspects inevitable for humane progress and advancement of the human civilizations. We see lot of genius ones and stupid ones talking about Feminism and women’s rights. And we get confused, I get confused. Shall Feminism be used as a weapon against the women?
Bengal is one of the most important geopolitical locations on mother Earth and the Bengalis are thinkers and poets by birth. In our sovereign Bengal of Bangla desh, we experience the existence of various types of feminism and feminist movements. It is shocking that they are too much conflicting in the very basic issues. And, I come confused. Are they serious? Do they comprehend what Feminism is, at least?
Me is not an undisputable scholar and should not say much about this topic, as I believe that it is none but the women to speak their words for themselves. The male ones have no role to hypocrisize speaking the words of feminism for the women. Let the subaltern speak. Let the feminine ones define what Feminism is.
Well, there is a bit of good news. This era of ICT revolutions all around the globe seems pretty good for the advancement and progress of the women, as they have enough room to speak their words louder. Internet is a blessing. Just go and grab some website, portal or a weblog. In Bengali language arena of web, after the emergence of Aparajita News web portal, couple of web portals is founded for the women. They are— Women Chapter and Jagoroniya. (And it is a beauty to know that Women Chapter is competeting for the BOBS Award this year.) Among all these web portals, Jagoroniya demands the most attraction of interest, methinks. Because, it is much more than just a news portal and solely run by the women, where the other two were primarily and primly the initiative of few male ones (I know them personally and of course they are progressive activists in deed).
Now, let us see what www.jagoroniya.com brings for our progress and advancement. Let us listen to what the women say.
