“Gunday” is a 2014 bollwoody Hinḍi movie of notorious politics of Delhi’s super-powerist “Indian Dreams” to falsify the birth history of the sovereign Bengal— Bangla ḍesh. In a camouflage of an “action thriller,” the film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, intends to satisfy Delhi’s propaganda against the Bengalị Nationalism across the globe. And, it is nothing but the sovereign Bengal of Bangla ḍesh to hit, as this is the center of ‘Bangaleeism’ [the indigenous term meaning ‘Bengalịsm’ or the universal nationalist spirit of the Bengalịs].
The plot is set 1971 Kolkaṭa where a couple of migrant Bengalị kids named Bikrọm and Bala flee away to the respective Indian state and become gundays [the Hinḍi term meaning ‘Outlaws’]. Thus develops the plot. But how does it start?
When Irrfan Khan starts narrating the opening of the movie plot, the audiences (if not being deaf ones) come to listen that the 9 months’ war between Bangla ḍesh (then known as ‘East Bengal’) and Paksitan (then known as ‘West Pakistan’) is nothing but a 13 days longing India-Pakistan war. Few minutes later, dear audience, you will forget the history of 3 million Bengalịs’ life-sacrifice listening that thousands of people died in 1971 ‘Mukṭijuḍḍho’ [the indigenous term for Freedom Fight or Liberation War of 1971]. The third yorker delivery is to point that the Bengalịs of Bangla ḍesh feel themselves as ‘Hindustanis’ and want to be merged with India.
Few of my stupid Indian friends tend me claiming that it is “just a film” or “Delhi government has nothing to do here, it is just the director’s fault”. For them, I just want to ask a simple straight question.—
? If any Indian or Non-Indian director makes a film entitled “Fuck Gandhi” or a film has just an 11 seconds scene narrating “M K Gandhi was a motherfucker”, shall you still think or claim that “it is just a film” or “Delhi government has nothing to do with that”???
