The educationist of Bangla desh Dr Anisuzzaman is designated for the 3rd hisghest civilian award of India— ‘Padma Bhushan’.
This year, the Indian authority for this prestigious award nominated 25 persons of excellence and 3 among them are non-Indian citizens. The 3 ‘Padma Bhushan’ non-indigenous to India are— Dr Anisuzzaman from Bangla desh, Lloyd I Rudolph from the USA and Susanne H Rudolph from the USA.

Dr Anisuzzaman is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Dhaka. This Bengali of high talent received various prestigious awards from Bangla desh and West Bengal (India) previously. He is awarded for the Bangla Academy Award, the Ananda Purashkar, Ekushe Padak, honorary D.Lit from Rabindra Bharati University of Kolkata, Sarojini Basu Medal from Calcutta University, the Pandit Iswarchandra Vidyasagar Gold Plaque from Asiatic Society of Kolkata and so on.
